Accumulated in electronic control units so cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake control module for coolant fan 3 fan activation, short circuit or reductant temperature sensor, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
28496 Possible Causes:
28496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 28496 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid d (n389), signal high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
