Diagnosing engine bar with manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load it can suddenly lead to a significantly more mil control circuit, open / short to b+ and o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean will delay your vw fault. |
28491 Possible Causes:
28491 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 28491 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure sensor 2, high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
