The problem is about cooling bypass valve, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit of electrical errors or relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
28461 Possible Causes:
28461 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

- Inspect all the connections bank 1, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g300) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
