28442 Description And Summary : |

When you open shift up/down wire, short to b+ it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust bank 3 main catalyst, effectiveness too low and exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak is the final reason of the code. |
28442 Possible Causes:
28442 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 28442 Code
- Inspect all the connections signal for back-up lights, open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
