This something to do with the intake camshaft timing please check dtc memory of transmission ecu the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) + (g185), implausible signal and evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
28422 Possible Causes:
28422 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 28422 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
