This code were stamped on VW Engine case exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system clutch temperature, control and exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
28409 Possible Causes:
28409 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 28409 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
