Diameter in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor cannot activate controller reply function due to another error with equal priority or rough road / engine torque signal from abs; electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
28402 Possible Causes:
28402 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 28402 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
