This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'l' primary control, short to plus the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to ground and wait then nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
28389 Possible Causes:
28389 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28389 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel supply heater, control circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
