This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control unit error programming error it can suddenly lead to a significantly more angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), implausible signal . On the other hand accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) + (g185), implausible signal is the final reason of the code. |
28289 Possible Causes:
28289 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28289 Code
- Inspect all the connections ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
