When you open 'a rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start bank 2, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g301) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation you can see the exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |

28288 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 28288 Code
- Inspect all the connections mass-airflow sensor 3 (g456), signal to high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
