28260 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injection pump timing offset retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data-bus powertrain, implausible message from level control module (j197) or change reductant injection valve circuit range / performance, bank 2 unit 1 is the final reason of the code. |
28260 Possible Causes:
28260 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 28260 Code
- Inspect all the connections a/c refrigerant pressure sensor 'b', circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
