The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start kick down switch malfunction or change o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 1 sensor 1 is the final reason of the code. |
28257 Possible Causes:
28257 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 28257 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet, cylinder 6 (n245), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
