This something to do with the intake camshaft timing camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), open or short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles planetary overdrive / low range, mechanical malfunction and reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 2, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |

28254 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28254 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
