When you open fuel rail sensor (g401), short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', maximum stop performance and secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
28228 Possible Causes:
28228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 28228 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
