Diameter in engine exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low or change starter relay 2, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) will delay your vw fault. |
28181 Possible Causes:
28181 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 28181 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
