This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel pump "b" control, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open you can see the ignition coil 'b' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
28177 Possible Causes:
28177 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28177 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
