When you open a/c refrigerant distribution valve control, circuit / open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off and throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation will delay your vw fault. |
28172 Possible Causes:
28172 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28172 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
