28167 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, electrical error in the electric circuit . On the other hand ignition coil 'j' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
28167 Possible Causes:
28167 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28167 Code
- Inspect all the connections auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
