28163 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault activation 2-unit injector valve, short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start voltage supply relay, electrical malfunction you can see the starter interlock, circuit open is the final reason of the code. |
28163 Possible Causes:
28163 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 28163 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
