28100 Description And Summary :

The problem is about ignition coil 'g' secondary circuit, malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 2, circuit high or change throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', minimum stop performance is the final reason of the code.

28100 Possible Causes:

28100 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
  • Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
  • Reverse Input Circuit
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 28100 Code

  • Inspect all the connections accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), power supply malfunction
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
