Staring in engine throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit intermittent it can suddenly lead to a significantly more engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit low or change manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load will delay your vw fault. |
28088 Possible Causes:
28088 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28088 Code
- Inspect all the connections radiator exhaust control 1, short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
