This something to do with the intake camshaft timing reductant temperature sensor, circuit intermittent run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit also exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, voltage too low is the final reason of the code. |
28080 Possible Causes:
28080 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28080 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
