28046 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), upper limit exceeded retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start motor for intake manifold flap (v157), open / short to ground . On the other hand air leak between throttle body and intake valves is the final reason of the code. |
28046 Possible Causes:
28046 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 28046 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 16 (n393), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
