This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground . On the other hand water in fuel sensor, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
28039 Possible Causes:
28039 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 28039 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes after kat exchanges
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
