The problem is about signal for back-up lights, open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to ground . So for next turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), electrical is the final reason of the code. |
28031 Possible Causes:
28031 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 28031 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
