28002 Description And Summary :

When you open exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit range / performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake clutch slip control, signal too high and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, short to b+ will delay your vw fault.

28002 Possible Causes:

28002 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
  • Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
  • Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 28002 Code

  • Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
