Staring in engine fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, lower limit not reached it can suddenly lead to a significantly more diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit high or valve for pump - jet, cylinder 5 (n244), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |

19857 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

What To Check After Fixing 19857 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
