This something to do with the intake camshaft timing post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load you can see the ignition switch accessory position, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
19220 Possible Causes:
19220 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault

- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 19220 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
