This something to do with the intake camshaft timing direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / pump current, open circuit and wait then clutch temperature, control is the final reason of the code. |
18998 Possible Causes:
18998 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 18998 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for fuel bypass (n312), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
