When you open reversing light, circuit open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, open circuit or change valve for torque support mount, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
18997 Possible Causes:
18997 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18997 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
