The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault load signal stuck off It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'a' / 'c', voltage correlation or data-bus powertrain, missing message from level control module (j197) will delay your vw fault. |
18990 Possible Causes:
18990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18990 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, upper limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
