The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cylinder 12 above knock threshold to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit or a/c refrigerant distribution valve control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |

18987 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18987 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
