When you open engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor activation, intake manifold runner bank 1 control, range / performance and ignition coil cylinder 16, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
18986 Possible Causes:
18986 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 18986 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 12 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
