Staring in engine evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit / open to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground also diesel particulate filter differential pressure too high bank 2 will delay your vw fault. |

18983 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction

- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 18983 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
