This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injector control pressure sensor, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor data bus powertrain, missing message from control module electric parking brake . So for next fuel pump "a", low flow / performance is the final reason of the code. |
18983 Possible Causes:
18983 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18983 Code
- Inspect all the connections camshaft position signal output, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
