This something to do with the intake camshaft timing evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle position output, circuit high and wait then leak in air intake system will delay your vw fault. |
18982 Possible Causes:
18982 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 18982 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
