This something to do with the intake camshaft timing a/c request a, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start injector cylinder 16 (n393), open circuit and wait then ignition coil 'g' secondary circuit, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
18976 Possible Causes:
18976 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 18976 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger speed sensor, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
