Staring in engine bank 2, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g301) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit and radiator fan (v7), difficulty of movement / blocked is the final reason of the code. |

18974 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 18974 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
