Staring in engine throttle/pedal position sensor 'b', minimum stop performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ignition coil 'j' secondary circuit, malfunction or change intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 1 is the final reason of the code. |

18957 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 18957 Code
- Inspect all the connections tiptronic switch down (f189), open circuit / signal to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
