Staring in engine exhaust turbocharger control module 1 (j724), high temperature mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to ground . On the other hand cylinder 8 above knock threshold is the final reason of the code. |

18946 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18946 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
