This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, open circuit and wait then 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |

18944 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 18944 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
