This something to do with the intake camshaft timing camshaft position signal output, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit rpm too high . On the other hand exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
18938 Possible Causes:
18938 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18938 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
