Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit / open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles vehicle speed signal, circuit short to ground or throttle actuator control system, high air flow detected is the final reason of the code. |
18918 Possible Causes:
18918 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18918 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 no activity
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
