When you open please check dtc memory of engine ecu causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system control of valves pump / nozzle, electrical errors in the electric circuit or intake manifold runner bank 2, high temperature is the final reason of the code. |
18898 Possible Causes:
18898 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 18898 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift lock, open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
