18891 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, signal too slowly retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start glow plug / heater relay, circuit open / short to ground you can see the throttle control: airflow at idle too low will delay your vw fault. |
18891 Possible Causes:
18891 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 18891 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine torque reduction, open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
