Staring in engine accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor starter does not run, mechanically blocked or mechanical malfunction or change fuel fired heater, performance is the final reason of the code. |
18873 Possible Causes:
18873 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18873 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pump "b" control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
