When you open coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, short to ground and nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
18872 Possible Causes:
18872 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 18872 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 10 (n306), circuit low input
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
