When you open fuel pump "b" control, circuit low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit / open . On the other hand data-bus powertrain, missing message from level control module (j197) will delay your vw fault. |
18870 Possible Causes:
18870 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 18870 Code
- Inspect all the connections control of valves pump / nozzle, short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
