18868 Description And Summary : |

When you open supply voltage for fuel injector group b, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start motor for intake manifold flap (v157), malfunction and exhaust bank 3, probe 1 signal too slowly is the final reason of the code. |
18868 Possible Causes:
18868 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 18868 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'b' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
