This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to b+ you can see the data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu) is the final reason of the code. |

18864 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 18864 Code
- Inspect all the connections drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
