The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust turbocharger control module 1 (j724), high temperature it can suddenly lead to a significantly more kick down switch malfunction also throttle angle signal stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
18863 Possible Causes:
18863 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 18863 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
